Manage your plan and payment
Everything about paying for exit1.dev happens on one page. This guide shows you where it is and which buttons to click.
Where to find billing
Click Plans & billing in the left sidebar, near the bottom just above Docs. You can also click your plan name in the top bar, or Billing in the account menu under your avatar. Or go straight to app.exit1.dev/billing .
The page has these tabs:
| Tab | What it is for |
|---|---|
| Overview | Your current plan and quick buttons |
| Plans | Compare plans, upgrade, downgrade, switch monthly or annual |
| Payment | Your saved cards |
| Invoices | Every charge, with a downloadable receipt |
| Org | Company name, address and VAT number for your receipts |
If you have never paid, you only see the Plans tab. The other tabs appear after your first payment.
Upgrade
- Open app.exit1.dev/billing?tab=plans .
- Choose Monthly or Annual with the toggle at the top.
- On the plan you want, click Get Indie, Get Nano or Get Pro. If you can get a free trial, the button mentions the trial instead. If you already pay, the button says Upgrade to Indie, Upgrade to Nano or Upgrade to Pro.
- A checkout panel slides in. Enter your card and confirm.
- Your new plan starts right away.
If you have never paid before, you get a 7-day free trial first. You are not charged until the trial ends, and you can cancel before then. The trial is available once per account.
If you already pay for a plan, you only pay the difference for the rest of your current billing period.
Prices are in US dollars. Any tax is added at checkout.
| Plan | Monthly | Annual |
|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | $0 |
| Indie | $4/mo | $36/yr ($3/mo) |
| Nano | $9/mo | $84/yr ($7/mo) |
| Pro | $24/mo | $240/yr ($20/mo) |
Switch between monthly and annual
Annual billing saves 17 to 25% depending on the plan, about 20% on average.
- Open the Plans tab.
- Flip the toggle to Annual (or Monthly).
- On your current plan, click Switch to annual (or Switch to monthly).
- Confirm.
Change your card
- Open the Payment tab and click Add or change card. On the Overview tab, the Update card button does the same thing.
- A secure billing window opens.
- Add your new card.
- Set the new card as your default.
- Remove the old card if you no longer want it saved.
Your next charge goes to your default card.
Download invoices and receipts
- Open the Invoices tab. On the Overview tab you can also click Invoices.
- Find the charge you need. Every charge is listed.
- Click Receipt to download it as a PDF.
To see your monthly statements, click Monthly statements.
Put your company name and VAT number on receipts
- Open the Org tab.
- Fill in your company name, legal name, address and VAT or tax ID. You can also add custom fields, such as a purchase order number.
- Save.
These details are printed on your receipts.
Cancel
- Click Cancel subscription. You find it on the Overview tab, and on the Free card in the Plans tab.
- Confirm that you want to cancel.
- A subscription window opens. Confirm the cancellation there too.
What happens next:
- You keep your paid plan until the end of the period you already paid for. Then your account moves to Free.
- Monitors above the Free limit are switched off. They are never deleted.
- Extra webhooks, API keys and status pages are switched off too.
- Everything comes back on if you subscribe again.
If you are on the old founders price of $4 a month, you lose it when you cancel. It cannot be restored.
Downgrade
- Open the Plans tab.
- On the smaller plan you want, click Downgrade to that plan.
- Read the summary of what changes, then confirm.
The change happens at the end of your current billing period. Until then, you keep your current plan. After that, anything above the new plan’s limits is switched off, never deleted. It comes back if you upgrade again.
If a payment fails
If we cannot charge your card, a red banner saying Your last payment failed appears across the app.
- Click Update card in the banner.
- Add a working card and set it as your default.
Your plan stays active while we try the charge again. If the payment still cannot be collected, your account moves to Free. Nothing is deleted. Monitors and other items above the Free limits are switched off and come back when you pay again.
